Final checklist

Quick checks for sender and recipient before handover and immediately after delivery.

Before handing over the parcel, verify:

  • the item was documented before packing;
  • accessories are counted and separated;
  • no internal movement can be detected;
  • vulnerable areas are kept away from outer walls;
  • the box is sound and correctly sealed;
  • final weight and dimensions are verified;
  • the service is compatible with the contents and value;
  • the label is correct and readable;
  • the sealed parcel has been photographed;
  • the receipt and tracking record will be retained.

If an important point is unresolved, correct it before carrier handover.

On receipt:

  1. inspect the outside of the parcel;
  2. photograph any damage before opening;
  3. open without destroying the packaging;
  4. verify the item and accessories;
  5. compare condition with the listing and documentation;
  6. perform the appropriate functional checks;
  7. keep boxes and protective materials until everything is verified;
  8. promptly report any issue through the applicable procedure.

A methodical delivery check helps preserve evidence at the moment it may matter most.
