Anti-fraud checklists
Quick checks to perform immediately before completing a purchase or sale.
Before paying:
- [ ] Have I compared the price with other realistic listings?
- [ ] Have I checked the seller's profile?
- [ ] Is the information I received consistent?
- [ ] Have I seen sufficiently detailed photos?
- [ ] If necessary, have I requested the serial number or a short video?
- [ ] Do I clearly understand the payment method?
- [ ] Am I accessing the payment service through an official channel?
- [ ] Am I avoiding sharing passwords, OTPs, PINs or security codes?
- [ ] Have I kept the important transaction details in the chat?
- [ ] Am I avoiding payment decisions driven only by pressure or urgency?
If one or more important answers are "no", stop and verify before proceeding.
Before handing over or shipping:
- [ ] Have I accurately described the condition and defects?
- [ ] Have I photographed the instrument and serial number?
- [ ] Have I documented the included accessories?
- [ ] Have I verified the payment through the official service?
- [ ] Am I avoiding reliance on a screenshot sent by the buyer?
- [ ] Have I avoided entering credentials through links I received?
- [ ] Have I documented the packaging?
- [ ] Have I kept the tracking number and receipt?
- [ ] Are the main terms of the deal recorded in the conversation?
- [ ] Am I prepared to document any eventual return?
If the payment cannot be verified or the requested procedure is unclear, do not ship until the situation has been resolved.
