Be cautious with unnecessarily complicated procedures

A trade is already more complex than a sale because two items are involved.

Avoid adding unnecessary steps:

  • links received to “unlock” a cash adjustment;
  • couriers arranged by third parties without a clear process;
  • separate payments that were not agreed;
  • requests for security codes or credentials;
  • sudden changes of recipient.

The further the process moves away from what was agreed, the more important it is to stop and verify.
