How to value a rare model when comparables are scarce
When very few comparable sales exist, valuation should become more cautious.
Widen the time window and, if necessary, examine other geographic markets while accounting for costs. Also consider closely related models: the same series, similar specifications, or an earlier or later version. These comparisons can help, but they should be identified as indirect evidence.
Do not turn the absence of listings into proof of high value. It may indicate rarity, but it can also indicate very weak demand.
With scarce data, it is appropriate to provide a wider range and explain which additional information could narrow it. Uncertainty should not be hidden; it should be described.
