Use double boxing when the item needs extra isolation

With double boxing, the inner box should not simply float inside the outer one.

Protect the item in the first box, then centre that box inside the second with resilient material on every side. The top and bottom also need separation.

The outer box reduces direct transfer of impacts and protects the inner package; it does not fix an item that is already loose inside the first box.
