Shots by instrument type

Category-specific shots to add depending on the type of musical gear.

For microphones, photograph:

  • body;
  • grille;
  • connector;
  • included clip or mount;
  • serial number;
  • dents and marks.

For controllers and DJ equipment, show:

  • jog wheels;
  • faders;
  • crossfader;
  • pads;
  • display;
  • connections;
  • power connection;
  • the most frequently touched surfaces.

Close-up images should still be wide enough to make clear which part of the device is being shown.

For multi-effects, pedalboards and digital units, add a powered-on image where useful.

Show:

  • readable display;
  • LEDs;
  • any error messages;
  • general condition of switches;
  • main ports.

A powered-on photo does not prove every function, but it can document the display condition and basic startup.

Avoid exposure settings that make the screen completely white or unreadable.
