Separate service parts from identity-defining components

Not every component has the same historical weight. Some parts are designed to wear out or be replaced during the working life of the item.

Replacing strings, batteries or routine service parts does not carry the same meaning as a complete refinish, structural modification or replacement of a component strongly associated with the model’s identity.

The distinction depends on the category: document what counts as normal maintenance and what changes the historical configuration.

This avoids both penalising necessary work and minimising replacements that may matter to a collector.
