Asking price and selling price are not the same thing
A listing at €1,200 proves only that somebody is asking €1,200. It does not prove that the item normally sells for that amount.
Completed-sale data, when available, is usually more informative because it represents an actual meeting point between buyer and seller. Even then, context matters: condition, shipping, accessories, taxes or fees can make two transactions less comparable than they first appear.
If you only have active listings, do not use a simple average mechanically. Consider how long items appear to have been listed, how many similar alternatives are available and whether some prices are obvious outliers.
The useful question is not "what are people asking?", but "within which range does this model appear to have a realistic chance of selling?".
